Richard Gutierrez Recovering from Accident

Lately there has been a lot of actors who met accidents on the road. They too are plausible to road accidents coz they are also human enough to commit errors. Unluckily, they are just famous that they get publicized in the television, newspaper and online. The first thing that I asked when I heard about this accident was "what was his car?" hihihi inuna ko pa ung car kesa sa concern if Richard and his passengers are dead, injured or alive? =D. Nissan Skyline GTR lng naman ung kanyang kotse!! waaaaaa ouch!!!!! super ouch!!

Here's the news from gmanews.tv and a written report from inq7.net

MANILA, Philippines – (UPDATE 2) Actor Richard Gutierrez and a companion were injured early Friday in a car accident that also killed another in Cavite province, authorities said.

Chief Superintendent Perfecto Palad, Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon) regional police chief, said the incident occurred at around 1:30 a.m. along the northbound lane of the Sta. Rosa-Tagaytay Road in Barangay (village) Putting-Kahoy in Silang town.

Gutierrez, who was driving his Nissan GTR sports car, was managing a curve when he lost control of the vehicle and crossed over to the opposite lane, hitting a lamp post, said Superintendent Danilo Buentipo, Silang town police chief, in a separate interview.

Buentipo said the impact toppled the lamp post.

Gutierrez, his assistant Nomar Pardo, and Jorce Mascora, were rushed to a hospital in Tagaytay where Pardo died.

Meanwhile, in a phone patch interview by GMA Network's "Unang Hirit" with Gutierrez's publicist Jun Lalin, he said the actor underwent surgery.

Lalin said Gutierrez's parents, Annabelle Rama and Eddie Gutierrez, and sister Ruffa were now with the actor.

Buentipo said that at 4 a.m., Gutierrez was transferred to the Asian Hospital in Muntinlupa City.

He said that the incident was “purely an accident,” describing the area as “accident-prone” because it was poorly lit.

“We also received information that Gutierrez just came back from a shoot. He must be tired,” Buentipo added.

Tata Nano: A Stylish Way to Say "I'm Pocket Wise"

It starts with $2500.. damn it’s a cheap car. Roughly about a hundred thousand pesos here in the Philippines..cheap right??? It comes in two kinds, the standard and deluxe edition. Hey look at it ( http://www.tata.com/ ), with its design surely a lot might say it’s so tiny or so cute, I’ve read some reviews and the outer design looks so compact but the inner design is so spacious. It’s a 5 passenger ride with spacious room for your luggage and for a relaxed feet.

Nowadays, averaged income individuals can be practical about life, then Tata Nano is the car for you, for some short trips around the city and nearby towns? Nano is a practical car.

Plus, here in the Philippines, this car is good option rather than purchasing a 2-wheel transportation (motorcycles). With the fact that most vehicular accidents are with the motorcycles, indeed Tato Nano is a better choice. Would you rather get a ‘multicab’ or this Nano instead? As for me I would purchase this one. I wonder when would it be available here in the Philippines. Is it coming here? I’m sure there will be a lengthy list of reservations if it would be available.

This car is also environment friendly. I think we are aware of global warming, right? So this is also one great step in order to help save our only home. It’s also fuel efficient, it runs about 22km/liter, yes a super saver!

10 thumbs up for India and a big clap for you!

Not only that its’ called the People’s Car, “It’s a stylish way of saying, Tata Nano is pocket wise”

  1. The “people’s car” is a wonderful example of India’s mid-20st Century mindset and its squandered chance at 21st Century development. My short essay on this can be read at http://memestreamblog.wordpress.com/2007/10/12/india-going-nowhere-fast/.

  2. Good job. Do you know if they will launch it in the Philippines? That could help a lot of people there. Shoot..I would even by one just for a vacation car every time we come by and visit the Philippines.

  3. hmmmm i don’t know yet.. i just hope so it would be launched here in the Philippines… it would really help a lot and i mean really A LOT..

  6. I hoping that some businessman will do something to make TATA available on the market.. actually they will make a lot of a lot of money when they sell this one on Ph. maybe 7 out of 10 pinoys will buy this instead of an underbone motorcycles, right?

The Cars of Fast and The Furious 4

The movie was awesome!!! I just can't stop staring at Vin Diesel hahaha.. the original casts are back and the thrilling actions just keeps getting better and better as the movie goes through the end.

The first video clip shows the cars driven by Vin Diesel. The second one is a review from Garage419 mentioning all the cars that was used in the movie. The third clip from insideline.com shows the cars as well as the trucks that were used.

From the muscle cars, mustangs, skylines, nissan, subaru, and a lot more, car enthusiasts will surely have a huge eye for this movie. Critiques as to why were the cars chosen in this movie just doesn't disturb movie goers who just likes to have fun and see hot cars on the road.

Go see the movie yourself... personally, if i will rank all the fast and the furious movies? it'll be 1, 4, 2 and 3 or 4, 1, 2, and 3. Tokyo drift has good stunts and driving, the cars were nice too but the whole story just doesn't amaze me that much.

Evo X or Subaru STi

I seldom write reviews about cars because I'm not that knowledgeable enough about them. But when I became a frequent driver on the road and an avid fan of a lot cars, I now became inquisitive how to take care of one's car and how does the car literally work. I became fascinated and engrossed with the price of gas, how to drive defensively, how to drive a car that does not cost you a lot of gas, how fast a car would go, how good the engine sounds, how unique they would look, how eye catching and head turner the car would become and how loud and clear the set up of your stereo would boom off. Actually, this isn't a review but sort of a comment on a video that I saw in youtube. Clearly there are a lot of videos and reviews that depict a lot of comparisons between two cars of different makers. More often than not, most of those reviews are biased and one sided (that's because some video makers or review makers are just so "trying hard" to be an expert).

A friend of mine have this new Mitsubishi Lancer Ex Gt 2008 (Photo by iJ Agawa) for roughly about 2 months already. Just yesterday, he recently changed the mags and got his car new mufflers as well (Photo by Kit Santiago). The mods cost him a little something and he still plans to save up for an Evo X in the future. Boys will be boys when it comes to people who has a lot of need for speed.

Well here's the video that I saw in youtube. Credits for the one who uploaded the vid, it does create a social interaction of how people can become mean, a praiser, a fan and a safe talker. hahahaha

The short guy just keeps on repeating what the tall guy is saying..never did he refute and such. duhhhhhh. For luxury or a need to have a medium for transportation, both cars got exemplary design, uniqueness and power. It will always depend on what kind of driver you are and why you have those cars to use. Give justice to the automakers. We are just the consumers and drivers to drive what they make. If the EVO X and STi have unique features and power? We do have "individual differences and choices". It will always depend on you so better respect "you". Am I right or am I right?

Road Safety

Nakakainis na mga motor yan! (Isama nyo na mga tricycle!)These are my frequent words whenever i'm driving around the city. Our road condition here in our country is nevertheless one of hell of a ride especially if you're in major cities. Not only it causes you a lot of gas but it also causes you a lot of headaches. It's hilarious whenever I see 2 wheeled vehicles (motorcycles) are lying on the road because of a collision slash accident. Why? Coz it's so ironic... they occupy a few percentage of the road and yet they still collide with one another. Here's the catch though, most of the motorcycle accidents that I have been seeing are collisions of two motorcycles. Too bad motorcycle and bicycle users does not have any road or lane made specifically for them.

A while ago my dad shared an incident near our main road outside the village, there was an accident at around 10 pm he said.. and guess what? Two motorcycles crashed to one another. I don't know the full details but it's quite rainy and windy outside and they still managed to get ahead with one another. Poor them. My dad reminded me as well to be careful in crossing intersections. Yes papsi i will, as always.

Here are a few things that annoys me a lot with motorcycle drivers! No offense meant for my friends who owns a motorcyle alright?

(As seen in the pictures, walang personalan po.. hehehe it's your back naman that is seen :P hehe. It was taken when i was off to work and i got bored during the traffic with the same expression "nakakainis na mga motor yan". It was raining and as you can see it was quite a rush hour tsk tsk That shot was taken near Panganiban Bridge going to downtown area of Naga City)

1. When you'll find it so hard to find a parking space when you see motorcycles parked like a thrown pencil on a table as if it owns the whole space even though that space is meant for a 4 wheeled vehicle! I know they also need to park their ride but then they should at least know the meaning of "co-existence"! Ummm can you please park it properly on the side so that at least the space will still be used by other drivers?! But I guess it never popped in their heads right or shall I say it had never popped in MOST motorcycle drivers.

2. When motorcycle drivers "overtake"/get ahead on the right side!! We all know that the proper side to overtake is on left side. Then when they suddenly bump on something or slide on the road that they kiss the road, you're still the bad guy/girl to take care of hospital expenses. AND THAT IS CRAP!

3. When motorcycles doesn't have side mirrors! It has been a fad nearly for a few years already that people have been customizing and doing some modifications of motorcycles as well. While they should be thinking of road safety they still think of how cool their motorcyels would look like (but for me it's so "baduy") and sound like (that it sounds like a moving can, parang lata ang tunog eh). I'm talking about the sound system that they would usually show off that they like everyone to hear while they would pass by (sana nlng maganda ung klase ng tunog ano? kaso hindi eh!)

4. When motorcycle drivers wants to push themselves in traffic situations. In our lingo I can say that "mahilig sila magsuksok ng magsuksok bsta makakita ng space". They like it so much to go in between cars! It makes wanna crush them in between! hahaha but of course I can't.

5. When the drivers doesn't have any helmets on them. When there are accidents, the more that it would cost the other party especially if it's a head injury. Ang tigas kc ng mga ulo. Sa Manila bawal ang walang helmet, dto sa Naga? Sus! Ang iba nga may helmet din pero hard hat lng ang ginagamit or worst wala talaga tapos kasma pa buong pamilya! They would use the hard hat thing the one that is used in construction sites. Isn't that weird? They get so lazy in wearing helmets but if they get a head injury they would readily blame others so fast. TMG, PSO, and the PNP, heyyy guyssss do your jobs!!!

6. They are prone to accidents. Yes they are! with a capital Y-E-S so p.r.o.n.e to accidents. They are small yet they are prone to accidents. You know what I mean.

Now what do I do when them whenever I encounter drivers like them?

1. I blow my horns on them. Busina lng katapat nyan! Unahan mo na ng busina. Ung malakas ha. Before then I was still good to them on the road, I don't blow horns on them that often. But now? It's not anymore in my vocabulary. But then I can say mabait parin ako to them kc bumubusina lng ako if i need to. Because if I will compare myself to a friend of mine and my dad? It means war to them when they come across motorcycle drivers. hahaha

2. If they keep on insisting for a space in between cars, whenever I see them coming form the side and rear mirror I now move to the right or left for them not to overtake. =D Ang kulit nyo kc eh!

I know how you feel, it's as if the whole 4 wheeled-ride-community is against you. I know that you should be given a lane for you alone para kayo lng magkakabanggaan (hehehe) and there should be enough parking space alloted for you as well. Blame the government! hihi

See.. from the six things that I hate about them i only got two things for them. I still respect them of course! Knowing that they are prone to accidents, I would lay also lay off my steering wheel on you. But pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee know how to "co-exist" on the road. I just hope everyone knows it on the road para everybody happy and safe.

I'm not talking to the bare bone motorcycle huh.. I'm talking to you who are 2 wheeled drivers out there. Peace out!

All New Honda City 2009

Early this year, the All New Honda City was launched here in the Philippines. Even before I got to drive our own Honda, I loved all of their four-wheeled line ups.. I like better the new look of this years Honda rather than the one that was released before this present model came out. I was reminded to blog about this, when I saw this new model on the road with the color Habanero Red. The front grille is quite overemphasized but still it looks great. The price runs from Php 676k from the 1.3 engine to Php 806k for the 1.5 engine. Here's the complete price guide.

What's intriguing about this car with the 1.5 E Variant is the Paddle Shift: Manual Convenience "Fingertip gearshift control on the steering wheel gives a sporty driving enjoyment". How nice could it be?? I'd love to try one someday. For a complete detail about the All New Honda City JUST CLICK HERE

Here's the advertisement of the All New Honda City Who says power and playfulness can't mix? And that comfort has to give way to style? Who says that luxury is only for a few? And that beauty is a privilege?

Here are some wallpapers that I saw from netcarshow.com
